EU voluntary standard for SMEs (formerly VSME)
ESG data that stands up to your customers’ checks
Large companies and banks are asking suppliers for figures on energy, emissions, people and governance. We verify your data and policies before you send them, and tell you how ready you are for the report.
Why now
From the 2027 financial year, large companies subject to the CSRD will collect data from suppliers based on the EU voluntary standard for SMEs. Companies that answer with estimated or undocumented figures risk losing points in customer and bank assessments; those with verified data can use it as a selling point.
Traceable data
Every figure must be reproducible by someone else, starting from the sources: bills, meters, payroll, registers.
Consistent with the accounts
Turnover, headcount and energy must match the financial statements, payroll and returns already filed.
Documented policies
For each topic you need to know whether there is a written policy, who applies it and with what targets.
